Overview
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Social Media Marketing Manager to spearhead our social media initiatives and enhance our brand presence across various digital platforms. In this role, you will be entrusted with crafting engaging content that elevates brand awareness, encourages community interaction, and draws visitors to our distinguished destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute a holistic social media strategy that aligns with our marketing objectives and strengthens our brand identity across all major social media platforms.
- Design and produce captivating content for daily social media posts, stories, reels, and assorted digital content formats using a blend of photography, video, and user-generated content.
- Maintain a visually harmonious feed that illustrates the diversity of experiences our destination has to offer.
- Actively engage with and cultivate our social media communities by responding to comments, messages, and interactions, thereby fostering a positive environment that promotes dialogue.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing manager to ensure coherence between organic social media efforts and paid advertising strategies.
- Work closely with our content manager to implement social media posts that capitalize on seasonal promotions, events, partnerships, and trending topics.
- Partner with local businesses to incorporate member content into weekly social media updates and organize social familiarization tours to generate new content.
- Oversee our crowdsourced photo and video library.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics and KPIs to evaluate performance, refine content strategies, and report on campaign success.
- Identify and engage with relevant influencers, bloggers, and content creators to extend our reach and showcase authentic experiences.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, ideally within the travel, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in managing social media accounts and fostering engagement across various platforms.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities, with a knack for adapting tone and messaging for distinct platforms.
- Proficiency in photo and video editing software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite, alongside in-app editing tools.
- Practical experience in photography and videography, including basic equipment handling and editing processes.
- Drone experience and certification are advantageous.
- Familiarity with working alongside social media influencers in both domestic and international markets.
- Outstanding prioritization and time management capabilities.
- Basic understanding of Google Analytics is preferred.
- A genuine passion for our destination, its unique attractions, and its standing as a premier travel hub.
- Capability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Valid passport, driver’s license, and auto insurance are required.
- Availability for limited travel within a specified geographical area.
- Must be present in the office at least three days per week, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and transport equipment and materials.
